Does anyone know if the key panic alarm can be disabled?

I've got to ask - why?
Must be the most innocuous feature that will probably never be used - hopefully

Ah! So you haven’t got yours yet! Bloody thing goes off with a racket when squeezing it by mistake, locking the front door, carrying too much stuff……..
You'll have to learn to be careful, or duct tape an inverted " button" piece of metal/plastic over it until you get use to handling it.

You’ve been out in the middle of the night, come across a couple of large salmon, like you do and you as you unload them surreptitiously, you reach into the loadspace too far and all the house lights in a 3 mile radius come on….🏴󠁧󠁢󠁳󠁣󠁴󠁿

The panic alarm is the vehicle alarm. The key fob is very bid and heavy, not old school at all.🤷‍♂️

I accidentally set mine off too - went into panic mode myself and tried all sorts of button pushes before I got it to stop, and bugger me, now I can’t remember what I did! Looked in manual, but I can’t find anything on correct way to cancel it. Anyone know?

I informed everyone on the parking of the local supermarket yesterday that I am here!
Gladly I managed to push the button the second time after only one „honk“.
Most people struggle to identify the idiot’s car that fast 😅

Bet you pushed it initially cos you forgot where you has parked.

A software change so that it activates after rapid 3 presses would solve the problem, I am also one of the guilty parties pressing it in the very early hours of the morning to wake the neighbours….. as if to say “look at me, I am going out to work really, really early”!

Somebody on Facebook was designing a clip that goes on the fob to protect the panic button

Love the panic button. At the Game fair people assumed my vehicle was part of the display, despite being way behind the stand next to the van and trailers.

When people decided to try climb up into my roof tent, I would hit the panic button. A few of them went flying
