Since his early childhood, Eduard, the owner of Explore Glazing, has had a great passion for cars. As a young boy, he was glued to the TV while watching Daktari (with Judy and Clarence). His love for Land Rover was born.

So, it came as no surprise that once he could afford a Land Rover Defender, he didn't want to drive anything else.
Maintenance and repairs became a pastime, and there is no part of the Defender that hasn't passed through his hands.

Until the summer of 2015, during the summer vacation, in the backyard...
As any Defender owner will agree, the original windows leak, rattle, and hardly open. And once they're open, they don't want to close anymore.
While trying to fix the window, Anja, his wife who also works in the business, asked, "Why don't you make your own windows?"
Since 2003, they have been developing, manufacturing, and selling glazing products for professional coachbuilders.

So, making a new window for a Land Rover Defender couldn't be that difficult, right?
Eduard went to the workshop and returned after half an hour with the first rough window profile.

The inevitable question was asked: "If I have these problems, doesn't the rest of the world have them too?!"
Explore Glazing was born...

Cheers,
Your Explore Glazing family
Eduard, José & Anja

Welcome here in the forum, glad to have one more 3rd party supplier here… I think the rear windows of the Gren are glued. Is this a problem? Could the windows ever be refitted if necessary?

We are guided by the design and assembly method of the original concept in every development. We have also followed the same approach at Ineos, ensuring that the Explore Glazing window will be installed in exactly the same way as the original side window and, of course, can always be reverted to its original state. No modifications will be made to the bodywork; no holes, no alterations.

You are right, watching Daktari was a wise decision back in the days!
Actually we have made the design for a Grenadier; the gullwing (with our optional Overlander table/window guard) is ready for production, now we are working on a sliding window because most people with dogs want extra fresh air for their friends. Cheers, Eduard

Not only a Gullwing, but a glazed separation of the driver compartment?

Can we have some images of the Gullwing and prices here please in £?.
