I notice the infotainment system (music, radio, car play etc) can be use even with out the physical key inserted and the car turned off.

Is there a way to shut down the infotainment or resetting this default issue?

thanks

From memory I think ( like most cars) it can be used in this mode to keep any passengers staying in the vehicle amused. It will auto shut off on a time delay, usually 10 minutes. It will shut off if the driver gets out.

Yes, In the case of the Grenadier It shut off after 15 min with no one inside and locked.

That sounds ( sorry bad pun) like a software issue, it should shut-off when the drivers door is opened. Are you on the updated 1946 software?

It looks like that, I don't know if the one I have is the current or a previous version. It starts with SW........1073. I took delivery in US at the beginning of December 2023

From what I've been told the MY24 vehicles have completely different software revision numbers as the modules are slightly different and thus use different firmware

This makes sense - Stu's ended in like 10,000. We should try to figure that out.

Having an issue with infotainment. At first, Bluetooth didn’t connect. As I drove, the right side of the screen began to blip, it went dark for a second and then came back on in a confused state and non of it functional. About 5 minutes later, the radio came on and there is no way to turn off or lower the volume. Opening the door and closing didn’t turn radio off. Opening door, closing and arming the alarm didn’t turn it off either. If the radio is still playing in 10 minutes I think I’m going to disconnect the battery unless someone else has a better idea. So, anyone have a better idea?

I presume you have done a hard reset of the infomat system, hold the mute 🔇 button in to reboot it.

Yes, Eric. I did try that. The mute and volume controls had no effect. The controls on the steering wheel had no effect. The center console control knob had no effect. The CarPlay side of the screen was stuck in one of the menus. After a long day at work, I decided to eat dinner with the family before going back out to try and to resolve the issue. While having dinner with my family, my wife said “is that your radio I hear”. It was. The volume went to the highest level. Disconnecting the battery turned it off. No drama today. Worked as it should.
