Out in the high desert of the enchanted land (New Mexico) where on the streets of Albuquerque I’ve seen a couple of Grenadiers roaming around teasing me to do a quick u-turn to follow them and see if it’s all I’ve made it cracked up to be in my mind.
Dallas may be the closest dealership and at some point soon I’m hoping to lure my wife to take a quick trip to test drive and check out the steering for myself. Do not want to settle for a Lexus or Land Cruiser but my spouse is level headed and not easily swayed. But I gotta try.

Welcome to the forum!

Dallas is actually your 3rd closest dealer... Closest is Colorado Springs; then Phoenix, then Dallas (y)

Good luck. It's a great truck. One of a kind. My level headed spouse loves nearly everything about it, including the steering.

Advice: expect a truck. It's a medium sized vehicle with nearly full sized truck payload and tow ability. Also a frame, steering, axles, etc. that would be appropriate in a full sized truck. 🍻

Welcome Jeff!

Anand is correct Red Noland here in Colorado Springs is your closest dealer right now. We are absolutely thrilled with them…Craig Barela was our sales representative and was a true pleasure to work with.

We were stationed in ABQ twice and loved wheeling there. From the minute I saw the Grenadier, while waiting for service on another car, I knew we had to have one. Within a week we took a couple of test drives and purchased one off the lot.

We love ours and have taken it all over the front range further points north and west here in CO. Traded in our 2019 Tacoma and do not miss it a bit!

Take a test drive and see if it fits for you!

Welcome to the IG rabbit hole. I am coming from the Toyota camp. My favorite vehicle of all time was my '07 Tacoma that was promised to my son when he turned 16 and to this day still drives it with over 350K on the clock. I purchased a new Gen 3 in 2021 and in my opinion was a more expensive turd compared to my Gen 2. Could never get used to the ECT transmission. When I found the Genny I knew I was in trouble. I have had mine for 2 months now and absolutely love it. The steering is not an issue other than the turning radius takes some getting used to when mall crawling parking lots parallel parking etc. Have not had any trail experience yet so I cannot comment on the steering when off road. That being said, you are an early adopter and if you expect Toyota/Lexus quality, you will have some frustrations. The issues I have had thus far are reasonable for a vehicle of this type and my service manager at the dealership has taken good care of me. My wife is 5'1 and begging for side steps which I am reluctant to add unless I can find decent ones that double as a good set of sliders. Other than that she loves the vehicle and drove it more than I did the first week we had it. When I say watch out for the rabbit hole, I mean it. I have spent more on this vehicle in the first month of ownership than I have any vehicle I have ever owned. The aftermarket buildouts and capabilities are amazing. They are a blank slate for your imagination when it comes to outfitting your dream vehicle.

If you wanna run up to lvl three trails in Uwharrie over the next few weeks DM me I'll run with you. I'm down in Monroe and usually like to go mid week. Just a heads up I'm in a full-size pick up for now doing my research on the Grenadier and quartermaster.
