Re chips: The gearbox is the limiting factor with the petrol version.
The warranty is the limiting factor with me.
I'm more than happy with my throttle controller!
And I like my chips with fish.

Yup. Different unit than the diesel variant gearbox. You’ll potentially tear up the petrol variant zf transmission if you push things much beyond the current torque output. Lookup the specs…

Exaggeration Tazz. Nothing is unlimited. The link will have the specifics...
Not that I can find under "X5 single turbo"
Is there a graph or figures ; torque is what I'm interested in.

Recommend a duramax 2500 diesel then it has 1,050 ft lbs stock. They tow heavy. :) had one. Prefer the grenadier… stock. Nothing wrong with the current configuration for what it is.

I've had this chip since January. I hadn't had much experience driving my Grenny to tell the difference in power. I do get 19+ mpg city driving (if the readout is to be believed). It's funny that I get less mpg driving on the highway. I'm seriously tempted to go to a dyno test center 50 miles away to get checked to see if Chipyourcar claims are true.

I'll happily Paypal $50 to the first person to actually dyno this "chip" and show a HP/TQ gain :ROFLMAO:

Edit: or even a proven fuel economy gain

The IG has ample of power. But if you feel that you need more, I highly recommend ChipYourCar Stage 3. Select the 6-cyl Turbo engine. https://chipyourcar.com/product/bmw-performance-chips/

I have used this for several years now on most of my cars and it's awesome. Instant power and unlimited torque.
Have you used this chip? Just curious if it voids the MFG warranty from Ineos or mucks up the already sensitive ADAS system? They said improved MPG, but don’t say how much.

It supposedly doesn't void warranty. Turn off ignition, remove chip from OBD2 port. Vehicle returns to factory specs when restarted.

Thanks Grnamin. Your comment provides valuable info for folks that haven't tried the chip.

It hasn't void my warranty. I don't remove it when I take my car to the dealership.
