Honda CRV rescues Grenadier

Ok, which one of you is this? I’m not embarrassed when I tell people I’ve gotten mine stuck twice, first time was rescued by a F250 and the second time by a Gladiator on 37’s. I don’t think I could explain needing to be rescued by a CRV.

A great way to show what a kinetic strap can accomplish.... At a class last year we had a student pull out a fully bogged (do the frame rails) 4Runner on 35s with his bone stock Forester Wilderness with no fanfare or excitement at all

It's all a part of the 4wd fun getting recovered by a vehicle that is least expected to do the job.

Pulling a vehicle out while on dry pavement isn't hard.... I want to see the CRV go down where the Grenadier was and not get stuck...

I could have done the same in my wife’s X3.

I doubt the Grenadier could have recovered the CR-V though, mainly because it would have disappeared into the hole.

Anyway, made for good sport.

One of the first things I did was a 2.5 day off road training course; to learn how to drive my first 4X4 (a Nissan Patrol). I did not want to put the cart before the horse. It did not matter how good my car was, if the driver was a dud.

Plenty of people I have come across in remote Australia do not have the right gear and skills. It can cost lives.

Yup. I’ve done a 1 day basics and will do a 2 or 3 day course soon before i try anything to difficult. I don’t want to be pulled out by a Prius
