Has anyone piggybacked onto the main driving lights? How did get access to the rear of the light? Is there a trick to get to it?

What type of connector is it?

Cannot answer on the headlights, but the driving lights are skittish when trying to access them, so they are not really an option.

You get to the back of the headlight by going in from the front. Pull off the trim at the front, then unscrew the light and remove.
See the pic below for the connector.
The orange connector is for the lights and I think the white connector is for the levelling system.
I haven't been able to find a piggyback connector.

Ok, thanks. That's a Deutsch connector, I'll be able to work with that I think. I can modify a piggyback connector to that. Thanks for the tip on getting access to it.

...OK, just to get this correct. Are you saying the aux driving lights can be removed from the front without disassembly and removal of the complete front grill?

The DEUTSCH DT is for the light, the Sumitomo for the height adjustment. The only source for the Sumitomo I have ever found was a dealer in the UK.
