Alright, before we dive in, let’s clear one thing up—I take full responsibility for my ADAS mod. If you don’t agree with it, don’t do it. Simple as that. This solution works for *me*. I didn’t buy my Grenny (aka my beloved Grenadier) to feel like I’ve got a full-time babysitter riding shotgun. I even sold my G63 because all those nanny systems sucked the joy out of driving.

The problem, and reason I'll never part with my Grenny is its pure magic. She’s got so much personality and is a total blast. I’m keeping her, quirks and all. But starting her up felt more complicated than firing up the Millennium Falcon: auto stop/start nonsense, programming Favorites, gently pressing the selector knob (but not too fast or CarPlay throws a tantrum), scrolling down three times to move the cursor twice… you get the picture.

So, I came up with a mod (check the photo). It’s super quick, and you can yank it off if you’re taking Grenny somewhere “judgy.” Been running this setup for a few weeks now. Aside from a couple of extra warning lights—like Grenny needed more of those anyway—everything works fine. No more annoying clicks every time the camera sees a speed limit sign. No more lane departure clicks when I don’t signal. Just peace, quiet, and the sweet hum of that glorious B58 engine.

A simple piece of strategically placed blue painters tape restored my quiet! Grenny’s closer to perfect now—just me, the road, and that old-school driving joy. Love it!

Hah, I love it. I had considered trying to see if you could put a sticker showing 85mph and a long strait road. But the focal length of the camera would have to be accounted for in the image used on the sticker. Not sure the camera would ever allow an image that close.

Also considered a camera emulator with a programmed image it could transmit.

Maybe there's enough space between the windshield glass and the camera lens to slip some blocking material.
