Greeting from NorCal!
My name is Christian and I am happy to be here on this forum. Impressed with the abundance of knowledge and information on the IG.
I am a military (reserves)/ commercial airline pilot by trade- with an addiction to all things mechanical. Have owned a plethora of sports cars but “retro 4wd’s” are my weakness. My earliest vehicular memories were riding in my mothers 1982 Bahama Gold 3 door RRC. As an adult I have owned 2 NAS Classics- a 1990 and a 1995 swb. About a year ago I managed to pick up my dream truck- a Euro spec 1975 recently Imported from Spain.
i have been following the IG for a couple years and wanted to wait to see one in person. I attended the SEMA convention in Vegas in early Nov and happened to come across one on display at a vendors booth. Instant love at first sight. Booked a test drive with my local dealer 2 days ago and here I am now finalizing my build. (Shale Blue Trialmaster with the white roof and lotsa goodies). Anyways I feel like this is my chance to get a brand new truck with the soul of an old RRC, defender, g wagon etc. This is the first new vehicle in about 20 years that has truly excited me. Looking forward to participating here!
attached are some photos of my classic after undergoing a complete body off frame mechanical restoration. Painted in its original Lincoln Green livery.
