Hi all,

I installed the hidden GP factor winch last weekend.
Went up to Reno Nevada to visit a friend and we decided to go out on a trail on Saturday.

Lovely day, took a few pictures as I was driving (Rayban Meta works awesome for that).

A few hours later we are near the paved road and we stop to check out some rattle from the roof rack (turned out to be nothing) when a F550 wrecker and a G150 pickup come up to me.
"What car is that?" You know the usual.

Then they ask if I've seen a broken pickup truck 20 minutes into the trail?
No, I didn't see one. Saw a pick up much deeper in though, but no people there.
The wrecker gives me a pin and I look at my onX map. The guy is deep inside, an hour from where we are.

I tell the wrecker that the last 1/3rd in will be hard for him. I ask what happened. He says they hightailed a rock split the trans cover and have no oil. It's a Ram 1500 and it's stuck, won't even start.

I tell him I'll go with him and get him out to the wrecker.

Found the guy an hour in. 70-80 year old guy been out hunting with some friends. Not experienced driving off-road, street tires etc. And yeah, his 2022 Ram 1500 is pretty messed up. Can't move from the hole he is in, even with the help of his friends Toyota Tacoma. It just didn't have the grip to pull him (it too has essentially street tires).

I got to use my brand new GP factor winch and got him out of the hole in 10 minutes or so. Pulled him up on the ridge with my Grenadier and a tow line. From the ridge he steered himself down to a power line road using gravity to meet the wrecker. I did a good deed, the wrecker was happy. The guy looked a bit shell shocked if I'm honest, he is probably looking at a $10k repair. I suspect he ran the transmission with gravel in it and destroyed it... And got to be a few thousand for the wrecker for an afternoon (we were in the boonies).

The @GPFACTOR winch worked amazing, didn't even seem strained. So happy I got this.
Sorry no pics, it was starting to snow as we got into it.
