Glad to be here! Driftwood, TX

Welcome aboard! How is your FM spec'd?

Nice to have few more Grenadier off Hwy 71. I am sure you can get a few truck over to Front Yard Brewing.

Absolutely...welcome to Central Texas Grenadiers! I took mine out to Hidden Falls Adventure Park in Marble Falls, TX and had much fun checking it out over the weekend...it handled awesomely well, I'm getting to know the capabilities, and great views for this part of the world.

about 40 years ago I watched an old PBS show called Great Chef's and they featured a little BBQ place in Driftwood. 35 years ago I visited it for my first taste of BBQ and I was hooked. Visiting a supplier in San Antonio a couple years ago and sampling BBQ there and in Lockhart I decided for old time sake I'd head back up to Driftwood to see what's changed. Almost didn't recognize the area. Not sure if the term gentrified can be applied to hill country but wow, what changes. And that little BBQ place still has the same round open pit but it's now a sprawling mega restaurant. You live in a special place.

Regarding the hassle of us in Central Texas driving to Mossy in Houston or Sewell in Plano, I have an update. I asked Ashton Mossy if they planned to expand to Austin, and he said unfortunately no, because Grenadier has a policy about requiring an existing auto dealership in a city (Mossy doesn’t have an Austin dealership). I called Sewell to get a status of when their San Antonio Grenadier dealership would open and was told they hoped this fall. I interpret that as maybe by end of year. Regardless, that is a win, reducing my drive from about three hours to a little over an hour. Austin has several independent mechanics shops that specialize in BMWs, but most of them don’t want to work on Grenadiers because they don’t have access to service manuals and can’t turn off the service due light. I finally talked Terry Sather Automotive into doing an oil change for me, but they said it was a one-time favor. Regarding warranty, we in the US are covered by the Magnussen-Moss Act (1975) which prohibits new car dealers from denying warranty claims because an independent mechanic facility performed routine scheduled maintenance.
