Fog light brackets

The Leitner front bumper light mount is ridiculous at $500. I want to add some SAE fog lights that I can turn/off at will. Does anyone else make some small brackets that fix lights in the bumper ends?

I don’t know, but I bought the Leitner front bumper light mount and love it. It was a lot of money for sure, but it is literally perfect. I think if you wanted to do something different, you can just drill mounting holes through the top of the bumper and go straight down and it wouldn’t hurt anything at all.

As far as I know, there is anything else out there.

I am working on one, have 3D printed it as proof of concept but intend to buy a basic steel bender and make them out of 50mmx5mm steel or galv bar. It connects to the two exposed bolts where the bumper mounts to the chassis, intended for 9 inch round spots that would cover the useless factory spots (already have made a cover for them).

Is that just using a longer bumper bolt?

No, the bracket of the light is bolted in the small plastic cover you see in the picture. There is enough space beneath for nuts in just one place.

I’ve wondered why that seems to be done so rarely (even without a winch assembly under the top of the front bumper). Here are two of the few photos I have seen of lights installed directly on top of the bumper:

One consideration is that the top of the front bumper is slightly curved (convex). Could that be incompatible with the brackets of certain lights that you might want to bolt onto the bumper?
