I'm a lifelong Jeep Wrangler owner who finally made the jump to INEOS, and I'm VERY pleased with my purchase. I was lucky to find a very lightly used fieldmaster with ALL the options I wanted at a great price. I have been blow away by the quality of this car. The pre-wiring for all the auxiliary power connectors is a really nice touch: it makes it super easy to plug in accessory lighting with pre-wired relays and switches.
I did find that the Donny Grey color is like a black hole: it seems to suck all the light out of the universe, which makes it pretty challenging to back up! My solution was to install a Whelen pioneer slimline flood LED in the back. https://www.whelen.com/product/pioneer-slimline/ I think these are more designed for emergency vehicles, but I choose it because it's a very high quality product, unlike some of the really cheap LEDs I've used in the past. It also looks like a stock accessory, and blends in nicely to the truck, until you turn it on at least.. it's BRIGHT!
I considered machining a mount, but am starting with a PETG 3d printed mount first, I've attached the files if anyone wants to do something similar. Grendel Public
I'm very glad that the crazy idea of re-inventing the old defender actually came to life!
