So got the vehicle with skid lines warning flash up yesterday. Road conditions dry. Had just driven over a flattened approx 3 inch (wide) >1 ft long piece of shiny metal (assume aluminum trim off of something). ESC code popped up and the vehicle slowed down no matter how much pressing on gas pedal. Cleared self <10 sec but those were not fun seconds given being on an interstate. Next 2 hrs were fine. 9k miles driven. Setting out on a 7 hrs drive tomorrow.
Any ideas everyone??
Cheers!

A front or real wheel slipped a bit on the metal and the wheel speed sensors picked it up. Unless the computer saw it as excessive there shouldn't have been a problem.

That's what I was thinking. "Error" cleared itself. Supersensitive!!! 😳
Drove thru a "buckets coming down" rainstorm a few weeks back. At least a mile of smaller vehicles had pulled off of the divided 2 lane. highway. Kept going at 45 mph - no faster as I was following behind a FedEx trailer truck and no option to pass. No issues. Simple little piece of metal on a dry surface 🤣!
That heavy rain did trigger some "lamp" failure but miles and miles AFTER the rain! Chalked everything up to the "G" "electronic gremlins" - as long as they go away "no problems Houston!"
Cheers!
