Hi

I am experiencing a collapse of the driver seat cushion on the right-hand side. (I am in a right-hand drive vehicle).

I suspect this is because of me sliding out the seat whenever I exit. I have been trying to support my weight, but I still seem to have a collapsed.

This is affecting my comfort whilst driving.

Has anyone experienced anything like this?

Regards, Carl

I know that from my Defender seats (but it took years to fail). I used a trick to compensate that: When I installed a new cushion I used an old T-Shirt and spray adhesive to support the cushion under the cover. I wrapped the old T-Shirt tight around the cushion and fixed it with the glue. Works for decades and I guess I'll inherit it...

This could explain why my seat has NO lumbar support... maybe it collapsed too. To be honest, never ever had a seat cushion fail or falter in any vehicle I have owned (that's 10+ cars).

It not on the back section, it is the raised section on the bottom cushion.

I am on 17000km. A pic won't show it as when the seat is not under weight the sponge keeps it form. You have to feel it.
I should add I am 120 kg so probably not helping...
All that potjeikos!
