Morning All,

I had the power steps and the Wolfbox installed and I am having problems with both losing power at and times and failing to work. Chatted with the dealer service manager and he said they were having problems with that but did not have a fix? I know many owners have installed both these excellent options for the truck. Have any of you had similar issues? Anything I should ask the dealer regarding the install that would help source the issue? Normally after a restart they both work fine, super annoying though.

Thank you in advance for the help!

where did they pick up power? i used the obd port adapter and dont have any issues. if its more than one from the same installer, i'm looking at the installer not the unit.

Oh for sure think it is the dealer issue. I am looking to gather a few comments and provide him some feedback on the install and make suggestions. TY

I had my Wolfbox mirror installed by the Dealer a few weeks ago before picking up my Grenadier. I found driving around 15 minutes the mirror shuts down. This happens over and over again. You can get it back on if you restart the car. I had contacted Wolfbox, waiting for a call back I ordered a new Wolfbox G900 Pro. I should have it in a few days. I got my call from Wolfbox. I discussed the matter and he said to me the problem is not wolfbox. The problem is the installers. To prove this, he told me to remove the power plug (on the left) and plug in a C-type phone charger for power. I did and the woldbox does not shut down. I left it on for hours in my garage. When I was adding USB charger plugs to my dash I found one of the Wolfbox wires FuseTap in the fuse box located under the key's ignition..this is the yellow wire. It is in the correct place. It is a power always on spot for when your car gets a jolt it will be recording. The black wire goes to ground, and the red wire goes to power with ignition. With the new mirror coming I'm going to pull the black wire and follow it, if needed I'll replace it. I thinking the dealer connected the red wire under the side of the foot well. I say that because the power switches on the roof two of those switches will power the mirror on without out the ignition on. I don't want that. I was not able to use the wires under the hood of the engine to EXT1 for my fogs. A second issue is my roof lights should light with the switch on the celing. It does not. The car will have to go to the Dealer to find out what is wrong. These switches should all work from factory. If anyone wants to run power for "stuff" I ran a wire from the rear seat. Lift it up you will see all the fuses. First row to your very left. I grabbed the 30a Fuse and put a fuse tap adding 15amp. I ran that wire(16ga.) under the rubber floor along the door jamb and up under the dash out of sight. I connected several fused items to this wire. So now If I find the red mirror wire I will connect it to this wire. or I'll run a second wire to a new fuse tap. Last week I added blue led mood lighting under the front and rear of the driver and passenger seats. Its a very dark cabin. No more. I ran that to the USB on the back of the console. I removed the rear console panel. Very clean and no wires visable. Once I sort out the mirror I'll make an appointment for the Dealer to find out why the switches seem to be dead. However the switch lamp lights up when switched on, but no power goes to the roof lights?
