I was at my local dealer the other day getting my aux batter hooked up and saw a Trialmaster that had a CB/Ham antenna mount on the left front of the luggage rack and the coax ran into the left front roof electrical box.

I asked the service manager if he knew how the coax was run down on the inside and he didn’t know. He said someone had just traded it in.

What I am looking to do it mount a folding Ham antenna to the front left bar and then run the coax down under one of the front seats for that main part of the radio and then mount the face panel for the radio on the dash.

Does anyone know how to get the coax down there and keep it hidden?

If you remove the composite semi circular fill panel behind the tie down bars you'll see where the power cable for the external roof electrical box socket exits the body. You can squeeze the coax in beside the power cable and route it down the B pillar exiting at the base and across to the battery compartment... Removing the internal B pillar trim is fairly straightforward...

Thank you Denis, now to get some warm weather

I had a local car electronic installation shop in Dallas install a Ghost Antenna for a GMRS radio near the roof grab bar and run the wire into the interior. The wire is hidden until it gets to the radio. I had them install the radio under the passenger seat. See pictures. I remember see a posting on this site where someone else did it let me see if I can find the link.
