Bought a pair of Baja Designs 2x3 lights and mounted them in the rear using Leitner Designs’ bracket.

I do not have the aux power panel, so I used the EXT 1 switch to power these lights. Basically ran a cable to the rear and mounted these two. Very straight forward.

Super happy with the outcome.

A neat install 👍 I'm not familiar with the term "chase light"...I can imagine from the pics that they're useful to assist reversing at night. .. what is the "chase" function:unsure:

Chase lights are generally yellow (or blue depending on race class) and used in low visibility situations due to dust, often mounted high so that vehicles "chasing" you can see you through the dust

Those look great. I have the same lights and was going to mount them on the roof but I think I’m going to use them as reverse lights. Did you switch over to a DTP connector? If you have any details on how you wired and the connections, that would be great!

There you go. You should learn something new every day, and I can tick that box now.

Does that mean that the new wires remain forward of the engine bay firewall and then run along the underside of the Gren (no interior passage required)?

TIA, Bill

How did you route the wire?
Through the firewall and into the cabin?

I'm thinking of using the same wire for mine.

Exactly what I would like to avoid when powering an exterior rear light!

I ended up routing the drivers side INT wire to the chase lights. i may change that at some point in the future but thats what i did.
