INEOS Grenadier Pricing to Start at $73,100
The BMW-powered throwback SUV is priced to take on the vehicle that inspired it, the Land Rover Defender.

"But now we've got some numbers, and they're perhaps a little bit friendlier than we expected for a small-volume luxury 4x4 with BMW power and a throwback Land Rover aesthetic."

Seems a different take than many on the forum thread.

Thats because Car and Driver changed its ‘class’ to a baby MB Gwagen. Not exactly what we were told. Plus, starts at 73, but for the model and set up most people want, It’s $90+

Surely the closest Grenadier competitor is not the new Defender, but the Jeep Wrangler.

How much is a LWB Wrangler in the cheapest specification? Here in the U.K. it's around the same price as a base specification Grenadier.

The higher spec Wrangler is over £60,000

Wow that's a great price, if they were that price here l would have one on my driveway right now.

So that's just over half the price of a Grenadier. l can see the problem with Grenadier pricing.

We can get the Rubicons with lockers, sway bar disconnect, and leather interior for $60k or less.

All Rubicons here in the UK are fully loaded 2.0t by default. Hence the high price. No 3.6, no Ecodiesel, no 392, no 4xe, and the little 2.2 diesel was discontinued. Its only with the release of the JL the prices have risen. A friend of mine bought a brand new 3.6 rubicon JKU in 2016 for £28k

Yes l missed a new Jeep Wrangler Sahara 5 door with the canvas sliding roof for £40k a couple years ago.

When l went back to the same dealer this year they were £50,000 and the Sahara is the cheapest model (cloth seats, no locking diffs etc but still nice)
