Hi,
we (4 Grenadiers) are since one week in Albania for overlanding.
My screen behind the steering wheel is since two days now black, no indicator, no light.
took out the fuses for the cockpit, set in again. Anyone with an idea? 2000km in the next days back until Matzker can help me.

P.S. Grenadier is running like the hell and no other issues

I wonder if a battery disconnection, wait 30 mins and reconnect might re-set. While on your overland trip, if nothing else is wrong, perhaps do nothing until near home again.

Just remember this procedure…
Don’t want more problems

Yes, the car is full with equipment and luggage. I will wait until next week.

Mine does this every few weeks. We are sort of leaning towards it being after heavy rains, but haven't nailed it down.

Normally comes home after a few cycles of the system. It is just the panel though as all the systems work as intended.

If it has gone dark and stays dark, sounds like the telltale cluster has failed

Update: Grenny 3 days at dealer, no Software Problem, Screen is dead, Ineos said will be changed. Part is ordered, no ETA…
Third brake light: Only 3 LED are working, looks like water inside. Don’t know since when… No ETA for spare part. Will be replaced too on guarantee. Take now the car back until all parts arrived. Grenny is working…. I didn’t have to know if the blinker, lights, diff, etc. are on, I know it😉

I had the same issue (black telltale screen) happened multiple times. it seems to happen on a cold day, and it normally comes back to life after driving for a while and then restarting the engine. one other thing that I learnt in the hard way is that you will need to manually toggle on and off parking sensors to ensure they are working before you drive off with a black telltale screen

The screen was done new after more or less 8 weeks without any function and two visits at the dealer. Between first and second visit were 4 weeks for spare part delivery time and repair shop full of work. Since changed no more issues.

Take video documentation and pursue this aggressively with your dealer. The tell tale is a critical safety device and must work.

I have had a similar issue and am not yet convinced it has been resolved.

See my reply above. The tell tale is critical (if you have a check engine light, you won't know) and this is a pattern that Ineos needs to recognize and address.

Yes, it is critical, I already managed to crush my rear bumper to a pole while backing up since parking distance alerts were disabled when telltale has gone dark
