I've been there on the 5th to have a look and here are my findings:
- size: the pickup seems huge when standing next to it (European standards of course, for US it's just regular)
- seats: tried the back seats, and let's say I'm happy to be the driver 99% of the time. To make up my mind, I'll need to test-drive it with the kids and wait for their reaction towards the backseat comfort: seat is quiet upright.
- footwell: the knee room is smaller, but what bothered me the most is the lack of flat space to put your feet (mine are size 42 EUR). Which feels weird.
My heart says: "go for it!", but my mind and wallet say the contrary
Has anyone else seen the car?

Can you compare the rear seat space to that in the commercial?

Yes, similar. I compared the regular 5 seat to the pickup and there is there is non question about it: adults and the backseat will not enjoy long rides in there. Whereas the regular 5 seat is really good in terms of comfort.
