April 2023 Photo Contest

Submit photos any time you like but the earlier the better, submissions start the 1st of the month until the last day of the month.
Photos can be resubmitted, votes gathered will let you know if you're flogging a dead horse.
More than one photo can be submitted by each member but in separate posts. Otherwise only the first image is counted.

• Only one vote per member per month, you can't like everything so be picky, this is an honesty based system.
• If you chose to change your vote you can do so at any time before the closing date.
• Voting closes the last day of each month, when the winner will be announced.
• In event of a tie the winner will be randomly chosen from the tiebreakers.

Winning images will be uploaded to a 'winners' folder in the media section of the forum
Winners get a 'best photo' banner on their account
Winning images can be uploaded in hi res for the community, they're perfect for desktop backgrounds (contact forum admin to upload)

This was a sweet ride from the Los Angeles area drive event.

As this is not a thread about Grenadiers but about photographs, I have this one for you.

I took it on a flight in a Piper PA28, in about 12000 ft. As it was not long to sunset I was looking for a gap in the clouds and finally was lucky so I could break the clouds and land in time.

Fraser Island just as the tailor are coming on the chew. One of the many things the IG will be used for. Dingo in the foreground- purest of the breed left inhabit the island.

We had some real nice Coral trout and cod last night caught just off Fraser by our neighbour.
I cooked it 3 ways

• Cajun & whisky (Jamison's in stout barrels)
• Garlic and champagne
• Butter and a bit of chicken stock

This morning at a coast where the ocean is in the east as well (but short to 15000 km away from Fraser Island) an where the weather is fine at 7 in the morning.
