Hi All

Just got my post and my dealer J T Hughes in Telford has parted with INEOS no service in Midlands/Wales now.

Halliwell Jones are remaining in the game.
I believe these closures are part of a new structure, but not exactly sure on the new business model.
Lloyd Allroad in Carlisle are part of the new structure. Which is good news for me, they are very good

Picked my new Grenadier up from INEOS Grange Edinburgh on Monday, they had plenty of quality stock, and were great setting us up for our 6hr trip back to North Wales. Just hope INEOS Chester keep going? Loving the Grenadier, its the dogs, Shale blue 5seat utility.

Surprised ! JT Hughes is a good quality dealership, this is worrying if their decision was driven by Ineos.
Let's hope the new Ineos business model will promote a better after sales structure, without this it doesn't matter how good the Grenadier is, and it's not perfect.

There must be some sort of a plan if Ineos are terminating dealers themselves, when in this part of the country, aftersales is very thin on the ground. Doubly surprising if JT Hughes were good - wonder why their faces no longer fitted?...

I have it on good authority that Halliwell Jones will not be going anywhere and remain fully committed to Ineos.

They are being given the choice to switch to dealership model and those that don't will be offered to continue servicing. Thankfully, my local one has confirmed it is moving to dealership model

I had a horrible feeling that JT Hughes would go at some point, I don’t think they will be the last either.

Not sure where I will be getting my next service and I will wager good money Ineos don’t contact me about the outstanding warranty work either.

I won’t hold my breath over the next iteration of what Ineos sales and service will look like but it doesn’t bode well for the future imo

Good to know

perhaps it’s the others way round????
With the change in how the dealerships work. Instead of just receiving a handling fee, those that have chosen to stay in the game, now buy the Grenadiers and sell on in the usual manner. This allows slightly more profit, but means the dealership have to have the commitment of buying the product up front. Halliwell Jones have decided to put their money where their mouth is.

I did wonder too when they moved the Ineos sales office around the side and put Mazda in the front showroom. Ineos must either replace the agents or post dealerships if they expect to sell the Grenadier in the UK.

Looking at the registration numbers in the UK I understand why dealers do not want to buy a IG first and try to sell it then...

Good for the remaining ones. The single pieces of that small tart are getting larger for them again.

AWo

Just had an email from Ineos saying that the nearest dealer/service to me is Grange Midlands over 1 1/2 house away and an Aston Martin dealer last time I drove past where'd we Get spares now?

I was in at Chester today and they are very positive about their future as an INEOS dealer

Waved at one just like yours today nr Dyserth, any chance you were waving at a sterling silver version?

Chandlers of Belton and Hornchurch are not going down the dealership route, but are remaining as service agents. Where that puts any warranty work is a worry. As they sold very few Grenadiers after the inital pre-orders, I cannot say I am suprised. With Sandicliffe in Nottingham closing Ineos completely, I guess I need to go to Northampton if I want a full dealer.

Got one from Ineos today saying shutting Jardine Kent one down, thought they had months ago...

They say my nearest retailer of Grenadiers is Busseys of Attleborough which is almost 4 hours away!!!

I hope to goodness they don't wind up Harwoods of Portsmouth servicing as that is my concern, not too fussed about the retaIl side - I have one already!!
