My IG is very keen to turn the lights on. No issues, apart from maps on Android auto go dark whenever the lights go on.

There is a trick to make the maps go dark when the phone thinks it is night rather than being triggered by the lights.

You have to turn on Android Auto developer options and select the phone controlled settings.

There is a setting in the Android Auto app on the phone where you can set it to "day/ night/auto. If you change the setting from Auto to Day on the phone app, it will not enter dark mode when you put the Grenadier lights on.
