How do you like this kind of grill?
Shown during "Abenteurer Allrad 2023".

I don't know. The original V grill has kinda grown on me? This one is less busy, but sorta has furrowed brow vibes, not that there's anything wrong with that. Lord knows a company had made lots of bank selling angry Jeep JK grills.

It looks like they have just cut out a rectangle area of the original well balanced grill and slotted in what I would call a clumsy alternative...I would change one thing for sure... the thread name to "Afterthought grill"

Black Sheep's new design also seems like it will restrict air flow to the radiator more than the original design, but I'm just putting my thumb in the air to measure that.

Here's my Bull Bar @ Grill cafe ready for a wild caught sausage ;)stainless steel silver service with some greens for garnish...don't know where that came from...maybe the hedge at the school gate or the shrub at Woolies car park...yes a series 2 and it is stainless.
Nooo.
It has to be one you can unclip and use as a sausage grill, like a series 2 Land Rover.

One thing that has puzzled me is why Ineos made the diagonal bits in the stock grille point down instead of up, so it would have resembled the Grenadier "A" motif. Seems like a lost design opportunity.

Was discussed elsewhere but the short version as I understand it was an engineer‘s way of saying “up yours” to JLR.

edit - this should be the Grenadier “wave”. Knuckles out.

That’s a great observation! After all this time looking at the V shape structural piece, I never flipped it over in my head to be an A shape! Seems like an obvious idea now.
I like the overall aesthetic of the grenadier. It’s purposeful and not overly wrought; like so many cars are today. It could use maybe a bit more attitude/aggression, but that’s a slippery slope. Is it “iconic” enough as is? Maybe with a bull bar and safari windows. Those, along with the diving board front bumper. It’s unique enough and overall purposeful enough to stand on its own as iconic I feel.
One thing they could NOT have gotten away with, trademark-wise though, was the alpine windows. I wish they could have. The grab handles are great, but incorporating those windows would’ve been amazing.

I loved the alpines on my Series II. I had a trop-top, white over blue, and the windows helped bring in a little extra light.View attachment 7816102
Your Series II is the photo next to “iconic” in the dictionary. I never owned one but that is what I have pictured owning my entire life as a true companion vehicle.

They’re very cool and it was fun to own-and amazingly competent off road despite no lockers. Had it for maybe 10 years but it wasn’t being used enough and when we moved it no longer had a covered home. She deserved to be sheltered and found a great home in Tennessee to an avid Rover lover.

So relieved that Grenadier grille is fairly restrained as it could have been waaaaay worse...
