There's a couple of earlier intro videos but this seems to be the first longer one, of what I think could be an interesting series all based around the Grenadier.

Simexqueen is Cathrin Meister, a lady who's been into her off-roading for 20 years and is now an offroad instructor.

Perhaps the best "goodie bag" if you select them as your agent ~ a full day offroad training for two people, apparently worth €498.

Full marks to Abenteuer 4x4 for a video demonstrating the enthusiastic professional approach we would hope of all Grenadier agents, the bonus of the additional day’s off-road training as a “2nd handover” being especially welcome.

It is a real shame on INEOS Automotive Deutschland that the processing of final payments and bureaucratic process of vehicle registrations has led to huge delays in getting Grenadiers into customer hands in Germany.

I saw the other short videos and was hopeful that something relevant would come now.

Now I am disappointed with the first "real" video. Over 10 minutes out of 15 for the boss's monologue, and these are a repeat of an earlier video.

A pure marketing event. This is not exactly my idea of a good Grenadier video.

There has to be more to it to keep me as a viewer.

Well there's a further one due today, hopefully more content than marketing.

16:00 CEST

I'll be on a forest walk, but will look at it in the evening.

So @emax, where's the marketing video from your agent, or other German agents? Indeed where's your own Grenadier right now? I believe Abentauer 4x4 are setting the right standards.

I have nothing against Abenteuer 4x4.

But as apposed to them, my agent has an own workshop to run. That probably leaves little time for media marketing. And with over 40 Grenadiers in the yard, they don't seem to have a marketing problem.

That said, I thought it was about the video, not others.

But let's see the video coming this afternoon.

If you listen to what Cathrin Meister says is lined up, then it should be good, possibly very good.

I thought it was worth posting, people can pull up a chair and watch; or go off and try and find missing under bonnet electrical outlets, there's always choices. 😉

Yes there are, I agree.

That's why I didn't say "the videos are bad", but "This is not exactly my idea of a good Grenadier video."

Just my humble opinion, and thanks for posting the link.

Agreed not a marketing isssue, but why does your agent and many other agents in Germany have so many gathering dust instead of actually in customer hands? The roll-out in Germany does seem to be extremely slow.

That's something you should ask Ineos. It's not the agent's fault.

I have now seen the video "Sunday 4:00 pm".

My take:
  • Much better than before. I actually like it.
  • Surprisingly, some new information that I did not have before.
  • Sound unfortunately mostly out of sync. But I would chalk it up to "shit happens, so what".
  • The trash scenery (somewhat ;)) is probably the best I've seen so far for a Grenadier video.
  • Curious for the video next Sunday, 4:00pm.
Mission accomplished.

"This video is private"

Seems they're fixing the sound issue.

So do you in Germany understand anything more about this topic; was it the one holding up all your registrations?

As far as I remember they didn't talk about the impact on registrations.

PS: just checked again: No mentioning of the impact on registrations.

No, not in the video, but I recall a comment from someone that the issue of vehicles having their own "Technically permissable maximum static mass at the coupling point" rather than a generic value might have been holding things up.

I remember this as well. But hasn't had a conclusion, afaik.
