Just came across this. Pretty neat setup as they are able to use the brakes and fuel tank! Bronco Trailer

I was impressed in that they found a way to avoid crushing the truck. It’s a sin that mfgs are bound by law to destroy prototypes.

The way I look at it, unless there was a scheme to claim some of the investment money back, then maybe the prototypes wouldn't get built in the first place.

Manufacturers don't have to destroy by law, it's their choice to get some of their money back.

Pah - Amateurs!

Some of crashed prototypes being used in german firefighter academies for heavy rescue training. This cars are far better for training than wrecked cars from a junkyard.
So there is a second second live of crushed prototypes😉

Hi McPharmer,

after reading ths I finally became aware of your avatar: Retten, Löschen, Bergen, Schützen. (y)

What's your rank? (I'm not an [F]FW member but just curious).

That means a long commitment and career with the fire fighters.

And "Kreisbrandmeister Gefahrgut" *) is really remarkable!

Great & thank you! (y)

*) For the non-Germans speakers: "District Fire Chief Dangerous Goods".

I am by the way not far from you located in the northern Odenwald, Groß-Bieberau. And I have some affinities to the Main area around Miltenberg and Aschaffenburg.

We will hopefully meet once that we have our Grenadiers. Say, for a nice coffee at the Main in Miltenberg ... ?
