So there's a label under the bonnet on the left side:

Which says:

And there's a 2nd grommeted hole for the hood rod just in front of the left hand coolant header tank:

Which when you take the hood rod out from the 1st position and deploy into the 2nd position, gives you this:

I'm easily pleased - it made my day!

Which is great and probably provides more than enough access to the rear of the engine without having to do what the INEOS Australian crew did to prep the prototype for the Australian "Trails" videos - the hood fully resting on the windshield.

Yes, the prototype obviously didn't have the bonnet sticker in place at that time; or maybe it's what happened shortly after that photo was taken is the reason why there's a second bonnet position now!

is the "hood" restrained against the wind in both positions? ie refilling windscreen fluid when its windy!

Yes and no, like most cars with a solid rod there is a slot that the end of the rod goes in and slides sideways into a groove which means that just a gust of wind probably won’t free it, but banging around in the wind I wouldn’t guarantee that there is no way it can come free

That’s really handy info. Cheers.

I must be easily pleased as well 😂
