More than slightly OCD observation.
Has anyone else noticed that 3 vent consecutive holes on the 17" steel wheel are slightly smaller diameter than the rest?
That's "on purpose" correct?
I originally wanted the saddle leather and would have spec'd it to a build... but, I ended up with one that was on a dealer's lot with every other option I wanted. The 1924 Edition then was announced and offers black saddle leather, which I think I'd prefer the aesthetics of. Can anyone think...
Hi,
we (4 Grenadiers) are since one week in Albania for overlanding.
My screen behind the steering wheel is since two days now black, no indicator, no light.
took out the fuses for the cockpit, set in again. Anyone with an idea? 2000km in the next days back until Matzker can help me.
P.S...
I’ve noticed the steering wheel on center free-play seems to be increasing a bit as things break in. Curious if others have noticed the same as the dead spot before you feel any resistance in the steering while turning it slightly left or right off center seems to be growing (about a half inch...
Hey All -
Just over 2K miles and been daily driving it with a very relaxed drive most days. Today was no different but then I went out later in the evening and the car suddenly started making a popping noise around the lower part of the steering column whenever I turn the wheel left or right...
Been a minor visual issue for me that the steel wheels have the wheel lugs and bolts being raw metal in contrast to the black steel wheel. I won’t get on the wheel weigh issue right now. I thought I’d be dinging up the steel wheels more and having to touch up with spray paint, but I see the...
The manual states that the wheel lug nuts on my 18” steel wheels should be torqued to 118 ft lbs (160 Nm ). Mine are torqued to 130 ft lbs.
Is that dangerously high, or within a safe range.
My steering wheel is off center when driving in a straight line. Is this an easy fix? I took these twp picture of it, it's about where these pics show the wheel to be when going straight.
It's not super awful but I find it annoying.
I've got some scratches on my steel wheels, nothing too serious but I'd like to touch them up before there is rust. Anyone done this and have a recommendation on paint? Left on my own, I would just grab a can of Krylon Satin Black and start spraying. I mean.. after washing the wheels and...
I opted out of the factory storage locker, because I wanted something a little more secure. While looking for alternatives, I came across this product for the Sprinter, which shares the 6 x 130 bolt pattern. Expensive for sure, but looks beefy and from what I understand not much more than...
HI - Just a quick question for the experts. My steering wheel is off center with the middle line at about 11:00. All else seems fine. Any ideas or is this normal? I really didn't notice it before and I installed a Fox steering dampener but can't see that it would do the?
Thanks!

Does anyone have the weights of the stock wheels? I am interested in the 18" alloys, but the weights of the steelies and 17" alloys would be useful to compare.
I just picked up my Trialmaster and it has everything I want except one thing - saddle leather. I have the black wrap on the wheel and brake handle. As wacky as it might seem, do you think these are parts I could order? Or maybe one of you want to trade? Can those even be changed or swapped?
