Good morning :)
I have been driving my Grenadier for about 3 weeks, and with my dad and kids i think its time to add some rock sliders with side step options lol.
I went to Overland Expo East and saw a couple of options in person. But most items are still online… so it is hard to judge...
I picked up a set of factory side steps for my Trailmaster and have a bit of a problem. It seems the threaded holes have some sort of undercoating in them.
My problem is I don’t know the size of the bolts for the front holes. I take it that they are either M10 or M12’s, I have the taps where I...
G’day, having enjoyed side steps on my 4WD vehicles over many decades it was incumbent on me to provide them on my new Grennie. Besides obvious ease of entry to the cabin, front and rear side steps play a role in erecting the roof top tent and providing access to equipment stored on the roof...
I liked the look and proportions of these steps so ordered up a pair of the single bar variety.
I went out to fit them this weekend, thinking four bolts would be an absolute POP and I'd be done in 20 mins.
Unfortunately, when I offered the bar up, and put the M10 bolts loosely into the front...
Hi Folks, Just wanted to thanks for letting me join the group. Just picked up my GR-TM this past weekend and have had a ton of fun driving it already. A few little quirks but still the best vehicle I’ve ever driven. Looking forward to learning more from the forum!
My first purchase is going...
I think if you lifted the vehicle, you likely already found you might want a step. Even if you don't, perhaps you are married to someone 5'3" who is not entirely pleased with the climb. The factory rock sliders do not work as a step.
I would say the best choice is aftermarket rock sliders, and...
The attached photos are of side steps I had fabricated that attach directly to the factory supplied rock sliders. Without welding or drilling. The cost of a pair of these is $970 USD plus freight and duties, if applicable (fabricated in Canada). The pair of these weighs approximately 60 lbs...
Does anyone know who makes these side steps with "Grenadier" written in them.
You can see them in this video from Lebanon

Let's create a list. Here's what I've found so far *(edited to add those mentioned below):
Factory Option
Buzz Overland - two styles
Dissent Off Road
Summer Autoparts - retractable
Urban Automotive - two styles
Black Sheep Innovations - rock slider with optional steps
Abenteuer Rock Slider...
Received these today and installed the steps and rails in about 3 hours alone. Black Sheep makes a super high quality product. Everything lined up perfectly. What you’d expect from any Swiss company. By the time to pay shipping and customs ($700 roughly in total) then the actual product, you’re...
Hello again everyone.
I'm going to be purchasing some sidesteps soon however the market seems to be flooded with 'Urban' steps, supposedly made in the UK.
I'm not a fan of the way these look yet I can only really see Urban, Blacksheep and Buzz - everyone else's are just rehashed 'Urban' ones...
I like the look of these side steps.

I don't need rock sliders and don't like the Ineos offer as they sit too low. These seem to be reasonably priced @ USD450 +...
I had a local welder fabricate some nerf bars/steps for the factory rock sliders. I had something similar on my LR4 and really missed having the step on the Ineos sliders.
After preparing/cleaning the bare metal I just painted them with a few coats of primer and rustoleum paint. I painted...
Hey All,
We (Owl) are working on some new side steps for the Grenadier. In the Sprinter world, we are OEM to Mercedes Benz, Airstream, and Storyteller Overland. We are making a version of our side steps for the Grenadier and wanted to get some feedback.
Details:
Steel - powder-coated black...
