After reading all of the posts and watching all of the videos of the @Ragman 2024 Safari Class run, I've decided to make a go oft it in 2025. I'm in the process of beefing things up. I already have the Eibach springs and an awesome Baja Designs light kit including the required rear-facing...
Got the 2.5" Lift, Owl Roof rack and Sliders installed yesterday.
I have a fun story about Owl. On our first trip with the Gren we are driving from Las Vegas to the Reno area, We stop for gas in Beatty NV. We go in for snacks and a rest stop. As we walk back to the Gren the guy on the other...
Finally got the updated shocks from Eibach to test out. They adjusted the upper shock eye mounts, added thicker/longer sleeves, and thicker/ heavier bushings. Everything else is the same as far as travel, components, body, and tuning. I’ll try to get some miles on and Offroad done to get some...
Anyone know what the difference in the rear springs are vs. the OEM springs from this new offering from Eibach? Same height but different spring rate or are they the same springs but silver instead of yellow? I have the OEM springs with the red triangle and trying to find out what the specs are...
Curious if anyone else has experienced a metallic clattering/knocking noise with the rear stock yellow Eibach springs under light load? It appears the tighter wound coils at the top of the spring have a couple of millimeters space between them under light load. I’ve noticed on course aggregate...
My mechanic is asking for the torque specs, front and rear for parts that were removed for the Pro-Lift spring installation.
This includes front and rear:
Brake calliper support bolts
Lower shock bolt
Tie rods
Would appreciate any help!
Thanks
I'm trying to decide between the 2.5" and 1.7" Eibach springs. Will be adding the 1.2" on the rear.
I'm used to an even level on my trucks, but don't mind some rake, either. Be great to see some pics of your 1.7" rigs - it'd be great to also know what wheel & tire size combos you're running...
There is a video on YouTube of a Grenadier with the pro-lift coils installed. The technician explains that the maximum
Amount of caster that could be set was 1 degree.
Has this been the experience with others who have installed these coils and how does this affect the handling/steering?
Got the rig back from Eibach last Thursday, packed it up with about a total of 500lbs on top of the already present accessories, and headed up to Sequoia National Forest. Tires were aired up to 42 in the front and 47 in the rear. Car handled well with the new HD springs in the rear combined with...
Finally bit the bullet and put on some new meats, again 🤣
I’m thoroughly impressed with these Toyo open country RT Trails. I started with 275/70r17, Eibach prototyped, put on 285/75r17, but knew there was more space. Finally ended up with 35x12.5. Haven’t tested offroad yet but there appears...
Paul at Shoreline in Huntington Beach has set aside a quintet of Mickey Thompson Baja Boss AT in 255/85R17 for me a while ago, and I was able to make it up for install today.
I had a fortunate turn of events at work and was able to snag the “old” white Grenadier from the company I work for...
I can't seem to get a straight answer either through searches online or through Eibach. I just wanna know if I can get 35 x 12.5 tires to fit with the Eibach 2.5 inch lift springs with no trimming or rubbing. Just a Yes or No please...
I pick up my rig tomorrow... so excited!!
Pretty interesting about the install of the springs and tires. I was surprised how diffucult it was to change springs- a lot of stuff to potentially jack up.
Looks like they are doing a bunch of mods, I'd like to see what the total height is on this mod. This is what I was thinking of doing.
I am super honored and pleased to have been approached by Eibach in the US to prototype springs for them. they initially ordered a set of 30mm and 40mm euro spec springs to install on two cars here in california. Agile Offroad received and fit the 40mm set on their non winch equipped rig. Eibach...
