Just watched the new Prado (250) go for a BASIC test run - I had to laugh when it needed diff locked to get over a hump... slower than previous gen even with 48V fake hybrid... a GXL is $90K+++...
I wanted a place to occasionally secure valuables so I spent the bucks on an over-priced lockbox that is specifically-crafted to fit in the empty space beneath the driver's seat. It took about 20 minutes to install and required no modifications to the vehicle. I think it turned out nicely. Of...
Just discovered the Grenadier as a former Rover owner and going for a test drive this weekend. Leery of being an "early adopter". Justified? Feedback from anyone driving one for more than 6 months is appreciated.
new IG with less than 300 miles.
Driving over washboard road at speeds of around 20-25mph results in a metallic / hollow sounding rattle above the driver-side footwell region. Driving at any speeds on pavement does not trigger this rattle.
Anyone else experience something similar?
An interesting take - The IG as a status symbol no less.

Good afternoon everybody! I recently traded my 2022 Range Rover and 911 Turbo S and got my wife a G Wagon and son a bronco. So I am very familiar with the IG competition. I love the Bronco for what it is, the G Wagon for its rawness and swagger and the Rover because it was British racing...
Lots of positive but some bad that I think owners already know. The part I found interesting was the symmetry of the wheel and a “what if” in an emergency maneuver.

Went into my local Cairns dealership to view a Quartermaster today, as I heard there was one in the showroom. Having placed my order 2 months ago having never seen one, was curious to see one in the flesh. Turns out they have 2, and was handed the keys for a drive. Have to say it seemed to...
Hi all
I want to take my Grenadier on a road trip to the drive in.
As a background to this discussion, there is a showing of "Blazing Saddles" at the local drive in cinema (about an hour out of Townsville) tonight. 50 years since it was made, apparently. Now I feel old.
I am classified as a...
I was on duty yesterday, and the radio was quiet, so we (inevitably) began discussing the impending delivery of my Gren. I've been torn this past week over whether to just drive back home the easiest way, or do a bit of a detour.
As I'm taking delivery of the vehicle from SLRV/Expedition HQ...
Took delivery of my Grenadier this morning. Shale blue trialmaster, premium sound package, pre wired for winch but sadly no winch up front and only a single battery, but I got the heavier springs for the winch. Also no utility belts but I got that on order. I had the dealer add the step bars. I...

Hi all, so my front drive shaft came off today done nearly 14000 km.
Wasn't doing anything outrageous, just happened to be taking off (slowly while towing) when there was a loud bang and then I couldn't drive forward or reverse without locking the centre diff. The front drive shaft has come...
