Not had this yet. My demister produces a high frequency shrill noise which I hate. I’ve been using it more lately as the weather turns cold. Takes forever to demist the windscreen. I’ve resorted to manual fan and windscreen setting instead of auto.

not to highjack a thread but I have a small clicking noise/feel at steering column. Not load but definitely there, at first I though something was loose under care but now I think its interior or close. Let me know what they say!

The noise is distinctly fan oriented. Almost like the electrical hum you get from a 12V transformer before it blows - but with the fans RPM coming through!!!

Now back from holidays, 130km/h on the motorways. Still VERY quiet, could not say that I hear any additional noise. WAY more silent than the 2 original Rino-Bars that I had mounted before.

That all looks great! How do you find the Milltek Exhaust on the highway/motorway? I really want to go for it but am concerned the additional exhaust noise may be irritating when cruising on a long trip… Thank you.

If you are using all the rivet holes, then you really don't need two sided tape. The thin gray foam strips prevent 'some' crap from getting underneath, and protect the paint and reduce vibration and possible noise.

Mine has done that a few times, currently been running fine for quite a while now!!!

I would pull the cabin filter out and check if there is any thing stuck in the fan.

For what it’s worth, the dealer replaced the entire warning light cluster in mine under warranty in order to solve the indicator noise. Hasn’t done it since but it hasn’t been long.

I posted this in the main steering noise thread. You can't hear it when driving with the windows up, but the minute the windows are down, the sound is noticeable.

I installed the Leitner 3/4 rack as well. Excellent quality and the look is great. I have not noticed any degredation in fuel range and there is no noise whatsoever. It is perfect!

That vibration sounds like from the hvac and heater fan related. Try turning off the fans and see if it makes any difference. But that noise is the air con pipes rattling against each other behind then passenger side centre console.

ok, so you don't hear the springs noise while driving. You can search Tein silencer or alternatively insert a heat shrink tubing between the tightest turns

I have no wind noise on mine. The only wind noise is from the HVAC, where there is a slight whistling noise on Auto (this is because the actuators are not closed properly, there is a slight leak). Give this a try, use fan speed 1 or 2 and this should eliminate the noise until Ineos brings out a fix.

I still get a resonance around the 2000 rpm under load and i think it is something to do with the exhaust system. The odd sound i was getting, that is now fixed, was a rattling type sound in that rev range. It wouldn't do it if you just revved the engine and would come only when you were driving.

Did you experience a lot of road noise before this? I am asking because mine has practically zero road noise with the Bridgestones (ignoring any drone/engine noise). Wind noise on the other hand.. is starting to drive me crazy.

I have the same high pitched noise that comes from the steering pump. It has gotten a little less noisy after 2,000 miles but definitely still there. The dealer told me it was normal :(

The dealer found the fault was this cooling hose that had a small ball in the hose that caused the noise. The hose in question affected a small range of chassis numbers and the replacment hose was a different part number.

You should get yours fixed ASAP. According to IA, they are supposed to have a very loud straining sound.

Having the skis in back is definitely the way to go - I bought the RR bars and ski rack from my Ineos dealer and then played around with it a bit and realized it wasn’t great - it’s just a really tall truck, you get a bunch of wind noise blah blah. Nicely done.

Mine made the noise, two days later found willow oak leaves in the cab. I am pretty sure leaves are getting in the blower fan this time of year. Always used to happen on my Tacomas.

Yeah similar situation here! We figured the sound was a rock hitting metal underneath. When we heard one ding it was "buy a round for the bar"....and sometimes we heard two in rapid successing "ding ding" and that meant the train was leaving the station....LOL

Just a few sharp whacks on the top backside of the smaller seat back with the side of you fist near the split should get the seat to vibrate revealing the noise. It’ll sound like the short video clip below if you have the excessive play.

There are a couple of threads on noises and rattles, which identify various causes. Often you just need to work through the possibilities.

I’ve had exactly that only once last January, Krabby. It sounded as if there was a large fan in the middle upper center console (behind the compass) that was hitting. Stayed for short also after ignition off and on. Stopped then for a minute and never happened again.

The wireless while driving is not functional. Poor design. The ambient noise is loud enough that I do not hear the other person talk. Hoping they implement a noise reduction software update.

...installed? Under the right conditions of temperature, load, moisture and dirt/sand debris they can make a bit of a rubbery squeaking/creaking noise as the spring goes through its range of travel after hitting a bump. Either that or maybe a suspension arm or shock bushing might be the culprit.

I can reproduce slight whistling when the vents are on the face+leg setting. However, I also have abnormal wind noise even when the HVAC is completely off. Considering others have no wind noise, I think there must be an issue on mine because I am measuring 88dB (on iPhone) at 80+ mph.

The drivetrain definitely has a whine under load, accelerating or de-accelerating... its not loud but more noticeable when de-accelerating because you don't have the engine noise..

We ordered our Grenadier some months ago and went to check it our yesterday with a plan to pick up tomorrow. There was a high pitched whine every time one of us even touched the steering wheel. Our salesperson got an audio of it to share with the service department. We haven't heard back yet...

It is common to simulate the turn indicator noise. It belongs to the group of noises a driver expects, even it is not necessary anmore from the technical perspective. Maybe the sound device has a problem or is not connected very well. AWo

Hey RobS, I just installed the Leitner 3/4 roof rack with the plastic wind noise reducer, but still hear the tea kettle when I crack 70mph. Any tips on eliminating noise?

Any ideas how I can trouble shoot the wind noise from my 3/4 roof rack? It's starts at 40mph and at 65 its annoying.

Finally back into my own vehicle after living with the loaner for 5 weeks. Mine is noticeably louder than the loaner was. I didn't really notice the loaner whining noise as much, but as soon as I got back into mine I noticed it was much more audible.

I'm sure all true. But he was writing that ineos says they are stiffer than normal to help retain the drive train. I'm not sure what they are referring to. They must be stiffer than something, so I guess that's stiffer than other light duty trucks, and just didn't know there was ever an issue...

That's a normal noise. I've checked 21 delivered gernadiers to Middle East and it comes from the power steering. Not a single car I've inspected doesn't have this noise.

If it was like my noise, (a chinkling sort of noise) , if you have a snorkel it could be the wind flowing past the top 5"or so. Our mechanic found the cause in my car. Push some foam into gap and see what happens. It fixed mine. I improved my foam placement to a more permanent fitting.

Here is how to replicate the bell noise... we believe it is caused by the steering damper cover. I took my Gren to a reputable shop to look it over and identify any issues before my appointment with the dealer (5 hrs away). There were a few other oddities we found.

I have them on Front and back. You only need the front's to stop cabin noise. Front and back look very good. You can crack the window in the sun to let the heat out.

That noise level is not bad at all, relative to mine. Keep in mind, the dude was inside a garage too, where sound is further reflected and multiplied.. even then, you can barely hear it over the idling engine
