@WolfBox on the web page for the G900Pro it has an optional add-on "Wolfbox G900Pro Exclusive Rear Camera with SONY STARVIS Sensor". Is this the same as what comes with the G900 pro or is this a different sensor?

If different is it an upgrade?

I'm considering to upgrading from last generation to this generation and move the old G900 i have to another vehicle. Can i re-use the cables or do i have to pull new cables?

Yes, it is the same as the one comes with the Pro, just an additional option for you.

The cables are the same, you don't have to rewire it. But the rear cam of the Pro is not compatible with the G900.

Hello @WolfBox

Just looking to confirm this, as I received a conflicting email from your customer service team.

Me: "So if I have the G900 package with the rear view camera, do I already have the upgraded Sony camera ?"
WB Customer Support: "The rear camera of the G900 machine is the upgraded wdr rear camera we sell, so it is suitable."

So it sounds like from this post the upgraded (STARVIS) rear camera does not come with the G900 (not Pro) and will not work with the G900 (not Pro).

Can you clarify for me please ?

Thank you for your question. The upgraded WDR rear camera for G900 is also equipped with Sony chip, but it's different from the chip in the rear cam for the Pro. The main unit of the Pro won't recognize the rear cam for the G900.

Thanks for the video. The improvement doesn't look big enough between the models at this time for me to update my setup.

That's my assessment also. If you're starting fresh and shopping in the G900 size and price range then the G900Pro seems the logical choice to get the incremental camera improvements plus the WiFi and voice control features if you have a use for them.
If you're already running the G900 there doesn't seem to be a compelling case to upgrade to the Pro.

@WolfBox please jump in if there is something else to add.
You have access to a broad demographic here. Perhaps a future features survey to see what folks would like to see on the development roadmap?

Besides the convenient features (WiFi and voice control), the cams are also upgraded. If you have G900 already that meets your need, upgrading to the Pro is not a necessary move. 🍻
