G’Day - prospective owner from WA here working out various things. Have owned P38 (I reckon that car was in palliative care….) and a few Prados with lifts etc and looking for the car to do more touring (no caravan) when I retire in about 3 years. The corrugations and the impact that has on steering and suspension is the main thing that is edging me to the IG vs Prado/Patrol with suspension upgrades. And this forum too - this is an awesome resource. I was a founding member back in the day of a Porsche 928 forum in the UK so I really appreciate everyone’s contribution here. It’s a testament to how you all feel about this car.
So my immediate question is regarding residual values here in Aus. Most cars have stupid second hand values, but I’m starting to see some attractively priced IGs with low km’s. Anyone have any thoughts on if this is just because it’s new and the word isn’t out yet, or is there another reason?
