So mine is now back in action, transfer case replaced. Cable snapped when they had to remove it and uad to wait a week for a new cable but all good now. Appears to be a different issue to @Logsplitter as it was an internal fault in the transfer case and the cable was collateral damage and his seems to be a cable issue.
Great to hear you're back on the road. You might have already said sorry but was your damaged TC one that was already replaced prior to delivery with the letter B?

Yes the failed case was a “B” version

I believe I have the same problem. Picked up the vehicle 3 weeks ago. I've been offroading in Low Range last weekend and centre diff worked fine. I tried this weekend, and there's just no resistance to the collar around the TC selector, and I can't get it to a low range.

That sounds like a different problem, some have reported that the pin that holds the collar has broken and that sounds more like your issue.

just reading your findings about the dropped pin. how did it happen to lose that pin? If one is lucky enough to find this little part after some switching H/L/H - I am just wondering how you would knew where to look for the tiny pin...

I've lost the pin, but I haven't found it again!
I wonder where it is used?

OK, it’s not very complicated to remove the shifter. You’ll need to pull the shaft and the spring out, compress them, put the pin back in and then reinstall the shifter. If it happens again, I might have to add a little bit of glue, but overall very easy fix

This is helpful, thank you, but I am still confused as to where the pin actually goes? I haven’t had this issue, but keen to know how to fix in the field if it happens.

My field fix to prevent the pin from coming back out. Zip ties solve all problems.

Have done actually the same thing 😂😂 hope it works. However, that should not happen in a car just 6 month old ……
In my car you can feel that it happens when changing from „high“ to „low“ - something is „pressing“ the pin out.

known problem?
Apparently the ring for unlocking/raising on my shift lever for the intermediate gearbox doesn't work. Neither the gear reduction nor the central lock can be engaged - even with a lot of force. Anyone have an idea?

I did this on test vehicles, where the ring had a resistance/function and the gears were difficult to engage.
Look on the back of the shifter and see if there is a pin installed. This has been a common problem.

gear lever pin.jpg

Hi, I can see there is a pin installed in mine but can you tell me if the pin drops completely out of the lever, towards the dash (and you found it on the consul outside of the gear lever) or does it work it's way further in to the lever and disengages the locking mechanism this way? Mine looks like it's just sitting on the inner ledge of the collar.
