Just sold my old 2005 Triton the other day and I am sad... the most reliable ute I ever owned and zero gremlins. I hope thinking back I do not reget anything!!! I am looking forward to getting the Gren though!
For now, the new DMAX will do!

We had friends drop in yesterday with their new car.
They went in to buy a new one and instead bought a demonstrator with 5,000 kms on it for around AUD$115K instead of the AUD$125K new. (I hope I recall correctly)
Same engine and gearbox/gear stick as my Grenadier.
Different tuning on the engine and gearbox.
It has 195KW @4,000 rpm and apparently the torque is irrelevant as I couldn't find it listed anywhere.
Found it elsewhere 620NM @ 2,000 rpm
Compared to 183kw @3250 & 550NM @1250
They loved it
I am guessing it weighs about 1 tonne less than the Grenadier
A lot smaller of course but there are only two of them and they pack light when travelling.

Not much chance for a boy from Queensland.

My highlights in late teens and early 20’s were a early 70’s guilietta sprint and a two door holden torana V8. And I bought my inlaws 1958 FC holden ute in the mid 80’s when it only had 30,000 genuine miles on the clock.
I wrote the first two off with poorly executed opposite lock, but sold the FC and always regretted that.

They were going for 100 bucks when I bought my 1st car , an HR with 3 on the floor and a 202 hi comp motor with Holley that replaced the triple webers.
But other than idle moments of slight nostalgia I've never entertained the thought of parting with bucketloads of cash for an old Holden family car.
Anyway put this on repeat and shed a little tear!

Ha! 7 of us paid ,$7 each in 1979 and bought a Hillman Minx (pale yellow , red vinyl seats) to thrash around the Howrah Hills in the school hols. No synchro in 1st and 5 of the guys hadn't a clue how to use a clutch.
We sold it for $50 . GREAT SUCCESS!

I just sold my 2007 Toyota 4Runner TRD Pro and 1995 Land Rover Range Rover LWB.

I've got a 1992 ROW Land Rover Defender 90 in the garage and my daily is a Ford Focus. The D90 will stay, Focus will go once the Grenadier is ready.

I also have a Royal Endfield Continental GT 650.

G’day everyone!! Just found this forum through Instagram and sure happy to find the Grenadier hive haha.

I currently have a customized Grenadier coming with most of the bells and whistles in November ‘23 or so.

I currently drive:
2006 LR3 - 313,000 miles (adventure rig)
2013 LR4 w/ HD - 100K (mall crawler)
2016 LR4 w/ HD - 105K (adventure rig)
2023 Tesla Model 3 - Carbon offset vehicle lol

Anyway, looking forward to connecting to other Grenadier owners in the Northern California region. We have a local chat group in WhatsApp if anyone wants to connect sometime.

On the preorder list but didn’t jump on board till August 23 so have some time till my turn. Plan on keeping the LC and selling the F-150. Excited to make new memories in my Ineos and to follow you all on your adventures!!

This just arrived last week - Cupra Born 77kW. With the price of diesel, the Grenadier has very quickly become a sometimes vehicle.

While the Grenadier is a car with a bit of technology - the Cupra is technology with a bit of car. I have to be careful taking off from the lights though. Nearly rear-ended a motorcycle that lane-split in front of me thinking he would be off the line quicker.
