whilst most cheap stuff was 4% or worse.
Not forgetting that a 4% error on 20Nm is just 0.8Nm.

Indeed. - The lower the Nm (eg. some type of sparkplug need to be torque set and the sensitiveness. But 4% is certainly sufficient for many applications. The facom stuff my dad used was pretty expensive .. at that time in Deutschmarks 4 digit. Not forgetting that a 4% error on 20Nm is just 0.8Nm.
I bought the same one for drilling 110mm core holes in brickwork and concrete blocks when altering bathrooms , it did the job but burnt it out. Still worked out cheaper than hiring the kit including round trip for collection and delivery.I don't buy many cheap tools but for the amount of concrete/brick work drilling/chiselling I do this comes in about right at £90 including new bits.
Has replaced an ancient one.
Did you find it needed greasing at any stage?I bought the same one for drilling 110mm core holes in brickwork and concrete blocks when altering bathrooms , it did the job but burnt it out. Still worked out cheaper than hiring the kit including round trip for collection and delivery.
No I didn’t. Maybe the lack of greasing is what caused it’s demiseDid you find it needed greasing at any stage?
mine has a top hatch that takes standard lithium grease. says chuck some in after every 5 hours operation. No I didn’t. Maybe the lack of greasing is what caused it’s demise
Is that greasing the machine or the bits?mine has a top hatch that takes standard lithium grease. says chuck some in after every 5 hours operation.
I fully expect it to burn out after some heavu use though.
I’m guessing where the bits/. chisel points goIs that greasing the machine or the bits?
aye me too. will open the hatch before I use it and have a butchers. Got some drilling to do over the wend as moving home and got a few gun cabinets to afix.I’m guessing where the bits/. chisel points go
wonder if we'll get another of Daveb's dishwasher photos?Auto lube ~ very fancy ... I have to apply it by hand with my Makita.
I hope notwonder if we'll get another of Daveb's dishwasher photos?
Certainly looks better than the other optionI have just bought a "special tool" to open the battery/fuse cover.
@DCPU, now it will soon go on.
It is unbelievable that this is needed at all. The covers should be able to be removed quickly without tools.
With my cover, this will soon be possible.
I think there are other applications for this very flat BIT ratchet with 1/4" and 5/16" output.
Can you reverse the drive without swapping ends? My mistake was winding the bolt out until the tool got jammed with the height restriction, and my ratchet wasn't reversible.I have just bought a "special tool" to open the battery/fuse cover.

I've been looking a these bit driver kits, so I take your recommendation to be for a reversible ratchet? Can you reverse the drive without swapping ends? My mistake was winding the bolt out until the tool got jammed with the height restriction, and my ratchet wasn't reversible.
Yes, you can reverse the drive with a small switch. (1/4", 5/16")Can you reverse the drive without swapping ends? My mistake was winding the bolt out until the tool got jammed with the height restriction, and my ratchet wasn't reversible.
