I decided against the safari windows, one consideration was price and the other was this.

Yes they are nice but at some time in the future, a solid piece of metal is less likely to leak than a sunroof.

The fact they remind me of the ones we used to retrofit in our cars in the 1980’s was also something that put me off a little.

On a plus point they would certainly brighten the cabin up.

I am surprised that there are so many completed vehicles showing up for cancelled or unsigned contracts.

The mind boggles, around the disjointed system of contracts/sales and the manufacturing floor.

Safari windows were a luxury on mine, but I’d now regret not having them..

Question: when will my contract come out?
answer: You don't have a contract yet? it's coming soon, after that your car will be built!

The good thing this afternoon: test drive with Grenadier petrol engine, a dream, I just have to get used to the steering.

Well the sick of waiting thread might have to be a broken relationship for me.

After all the waiting and false starts with the build and then all going quiet. I got told at the weekend it would be here week commencing the 5th June.

I literally have literally just had an email from the agent at 22.00hrs saying it will being delivered to the garage forecourt at 0900hrs tomorrow morning and when do I want to go and have a look !!

So after all that waiting it turned up earlier than they said…typical Ineos

A crazy journey, which I hope calms down a lot now.

Today my status banner moved from Sick of Waiting to Eagerly Anticipating as I met the Grenadier I so carefully specified over a year ago. The drivers door needs a considerably greater slam than the other doors, and there is one small scratch to rectify but other than that; it’s perfect. I can’t wait!

My car is at Jardine Colchester. Agreed PDI next week and collect Tuesday 6th June. No roof bars (therefore no light bar) and no rear table. They have 37 in the queue for PDI’s.

It seems my waiting journey is coming to an end . Car landed Saturday , paid the Bill early hours of Monday Morning . Got the call Today car already PDI'ed and ready to go. Registration on Thursday so that i do not loose out on one month of tax. Pick up Friday after work . Can't wait ! Wife already gave it a nickname .... Christian ( i was as confused as you , she said that since it has a red chassis it reminds her of her Christian Louboutin heels. Cannot argue with that . Christian it is then )

Well done Tinki, think you may be the first on the road in NI. I saw mine on Saturday morning and will hopefully be close behind you. I also saw yours with the red chassis, looks good.
