I think INEOS may have been very lucky in their defence against the JLR trademark case!!
If I remember correctly, JLR had never registered the design rights.

It was a marketing change rather than an engineering one anyway. I had a 1989 LR110CSW which was a "110" and have a 1991 Defender 90 with a 2.5D engine as a special order.
