Each time I go to take a look at the car I try to discover something. I got my key (car is locked now), opened the car and as nobody was watching me I did this (pictures are better than words, but I forgot to measure):

This is a quite nice small place that can be used, perhaps to hide stuff you almost never us.

And for get it's there for the rest of my life, or why is there a rattle coming from.the back.

I'm waiting to look under the bonnet to see where I can put the rat poison. I might invest in an electric one fixed in place to save me putting it in and out every time I use it.

I live in the bush and have plenty of rats (keeping chickens helps bring them in) but in 25 years here I've never had a rodent touch any of my cars' looms.
Nor squirrel's nests but i figure that's because there are no squirrels .
I do however have many large spiders that love the warmth and dark secrecy of all the vehicles! Bless their tickly hearts

Made in the United Kingdom and on the bar code sticker it is a fuel filler cap...at least some parts are from Mother Land but they just don't know where they go...

I'd be interested to know what purpose the loop in the blue wire serves?

Also the pipe arrowed looks to be similar to what I'd expect to be used for an axle/diff/fuel tank breather tube. I wonder if it goes through a large grommet out of the picture towards the top and into the wheel well?

Or if it is a diesel, Ad Blue breather. Too small for fuel.

I’ve had a few rats eat at the landcruiser, I ended up cable tying some ratsak baits to the chassis every few months and haven’t had any problems since

The best baits are the wax blocks.

don’t know, but wherever it is, the wash fluid somehow needs to get from the washer bottle under the bonnet to the rear.

Yes the wax blocks are best but use the green ones the red are just "food" you might need a licence for the green ones as they actually work.

Usually in the UK you can get commercial grade rat bait with just a holding number and don't need a poison licence.
