Excellent work, Steve ! (y)

If you want to get the colors as neutral as possible, and if you know a photography enthusiast or a studio, ask them to take some pictures with a (or with some) flashlight/s. That's the only defined source of light which is half way controllable at about 5500K. A modern camera will adjust to 5500K if a flash is attached.

And then, a grey-card (photographic equipment for a a few dollars) should be photographed together with any sample. Than, any user can use this card on the picture as a reference in his photo viewer (which should allow to adjust color to the reference).

There are of course more hurdles to master before the viewer gets a neutral impression (monitor setting and quality ...), but with a controlled first step you have a good start. This is in fact something which Ineos should do, as they sell their cars via Internet ...
I’ve been trying to take picture of color standards and have people around the world use them to talk about color. It’s hard, but you are spot on.

The other thing is that modern special effects are so angle dependent, perhaps a short video of you moving around the table to catch the different color effects? These aren’t as ‘floppy’ as some out there, but it might help.

Thanks

Think they may have just been polite acting like they knew me 😂. Car sales is a job that once you're in it you're hooked, well I am anyway. You need to be able to deal with the highest highs and the lowest lows in the space of an hour, if you can deal with that then you'll be fine.
sounds like my job

I have been in sales for the last 30+ years but always assumed car sales didn't pay very well.
It all really depends on what you define as not very well, also it's how much you put in like everything in life. Other bonus is car schemes which help towards your earnings.

I never have to pay for car insurance, MOT, servicing, negative equity, tyres.

Well if Halliwell want to setup shop in Melbourne, gimme a call - I will look after your customers for you.

On the YouTube meeting that Mark Evans had with the crew including Mr Tennant early days, it was mentioned that they were wanting to setup rural agents who would go and take the cars out to farmers properties etc, and take the car for a drive on their local terrain. Has that eventuated in the UK at all - or is it assumed that as agents that is what you will do?

Yes
I guess it also depends on where you are at in your life as well.
Most important is to enjoy your work.
If you don't then you take it home and it impacts your private life, which then impacts your work and the spiral only goes down.
Money isn't the most important thing in life.
One day I will walk into your showroom and shake your hand. then put a beer in it.

I will be taking cars to the customers house, farms and so forth. It's a model that affords the time to do this as the numbers aren't as large as say BMW. The idea is that is Agents will do similar base camps as what INEOS have been doing themselves.

Well at least it's what I would like to be doing for my customers anyway.

If my choice is "Mushroom" then that "Scottish White" is haloumi. Or at the very least , vanilla!

Reminds me of the colour of the white extraction fan vents in my local pub when you were allowed to smoke indoors 🙀

Of course the swatch looks super creamy against a pure white background.

Out in real life, in the sun etc. it will look white with a touch of creaminess

Great job trying to show the colors in their purest form. Seeing them all has definitely set my mind on the silver!
