All,
I've just received this in an email from IA. Don't know if it's been circulated already:

We’re aware of reports currently in the media relating to an issue with the Grenadier exterior door button. We appreciate this may have given you cause for concern, so we wanted to get in touch to provide you with more information to allay any concerns you may have and to let you know what it means.

We have identified an issue affecting some Grenadiers worldwide where, in a small number of cases, the exterior door button may remain in the depressed position. This could prevent the door from fully closing. Please note, that the safety warning systems in your Grenadier remain unaffected so you will continue to be notified, should any doors be left open.

In the UK, we will be replacing the door button mechanisms free of charge for affected customers and we will do this for you during your next routine workshop visit. We have consulted with the Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA) which has agreed with our decision to take this course of action. There is no need for you to do anything now, but please do make the usual check that all doors are closed properly when using your vehicle.

Your safety and driving experience are at the heart of everything we do. We want you to know that as part of our commitment to the quality of our products, we are dedicated to ensuring that your Grenadier meets the highest standards of safety, performance, and reliability.

If you have any questions and would like to talk to us about this, please click below to get in contact.

Warm regards,

Lynn Calder

My local service centre just changed out the button mechanisms on my front doors as they were sticking regularly but they were a bit mumpy about it as I'd complained that their first attempt to fix the issue by simply greasing the mechs hadn't worked. Hopefully an official campaign will address any poor attitudes towards this very common issue!

The 'Please note, that the safety warning systems in your Grenadier remain unaffected so you will continue to be notified, should any doors be left open.' assurance is BS, as I know from first hand experience that the 'door left open' warning only comes on AFTER the door swings open on the first corner of your journey when the outside button is stuck down. It is definitely possible to fool the door open sensor by snugging the door closed even though it is not latched, as my youngest daughter proved as a front passenger a while ago

The bumper issue is only an issue if you intend on tackling washboard (corrugated) roads which try and shake everything to bits - not something we have in the UK so unlikely to be a problem unless you're wanting to take the vehicle to some drier and dustier climates. The reason we don't have the additional reinforcing brackets in the UK is due to European pedestrian impact protection regulations: Our front bumpers are not allowed to be as rigid as the front bumpers on an Australian/USA model. It's also why our front wings aren't rated to 150kg standing on them as per other markets, presumably because Ineos have been forced to use lower strength mountings.

I contacted Ineos cs about doors they just said to contact retailer for inspection , regarding the radiators the only reason I ask as I read the "stuck in namibia " thread and it was a uk version that had the problem so no I have no plans to tackle corrugated roads but information is king .
