Colorado Trails

How about starting a list of local trails in Colorado and thoughts about them?

I use an app called AllTrails which makes it easy to find adventures and keep track of them. Yesterday I did one near Apex (Black Hawk/Central City) that was easy and lots of fun. Plenty of snow and mud with some pretty technical climbs once you get toward the top. I followed a friend of mine who has a Toyota Land Cruiser which worked out well...

Did Schubarth loop yesterday and a couple off-shoots w my visiting bro in single vehicle. Nothing too crazy but some fun parts with decent technical fun.

Lake City to American Basin trailhead. Second half is pretty chunky, not sure I would call it “technical” but you’re not going much faster than about 5mph for most of it. Last part of the offshoot to the American Basin Trailhead is rough, rocky and slow going. Drove before sunrise for a section of it and I can say with certainty that I will be getting some additional off-road/aux lighting. I’m currently riding on stock suspension with Mickey Thompson Baja Boss 255/85/r17 and AO diff skids. Didn’t rub or scrape anything.
