looking for suggestions on Big Bend trails to take. Spending 5 night in the Lajitas area early December. Grenadier with rough pack. Not an expert on offroading so looking for easy to moderate trail suggestions for those 5 days. Any help is appreciated.

From Panther Junction visitor center, head to Glen Springs Road and then turn into Pine Canyon Road all the way to the Pine Canyon trailhead then turn around and go back the way you came.

From Panther Junction Visitor Center Bathroom to Pine Canyon Trailhead, Big Bend National Park, TX 79834 via Park Rte 12 and Pine Canyon Rd.
42 min (12 mi) one way
42 min in current traffic
1. Head east toward Park Rte 12
2. Turn right onto Park Rte 12
3. Turn right onto Glen Springs Rd
4. Turn right onto Pine Canyon Rd
5. Arrive at location: Pine Canyon Trailhead

You can try Black Gap Road, but it requires a little more experience. One member of our party wasn't confident traversing The Step, so we turned around there.

We didn't air down our tires for either trail, but the ride would have been more comfy if we had.
